Northern flying squirrel, Glaucomys sabrinus
Like many animals, the regionally endangered Northern flying squirrel, Glaucomys sabrinus, depends on abundant standing dead wood to provide the holes they need to live and nest in. Such conditions are typical of mature forests that are in decline throughout the Acadian forest region.
